Acceptance terms
The workflow, scope, review points, and acceptance test are agreed before the build. Payment becomes due only after the completed tool passes that test and is approved in writing. Scope changes require written agreement.
Privacy
What this site records. My own server writes one line per page you open here: which page, the date and time, the country the request came from, the site that linked you here as a bare domain name (linkedin.com, never the full address you came from), whether the request came from a phone or a desktop, and whether it looked like an automatic scanner rather than a person. If your browser runs JavaScript, one line is written the same way when you click one of the buttons that matter to me: the sketch buttons, the Gmail and copy-address fallbacks, the link to the Valora example, and the email, privacy and LinkedIn links in the footer. The line says which button, on which page, and nothing else.
What is deliberately not recorded. Your network address. Your browser's identification string, which is read once to tell a phone from a desktop and then discarded. There are no cookies, no tracking pixel, no fingerprinting, no advertising, and no third-party analytics: this page loads nothing at all from any other company, so no one else learns that you were here. There is no form on this site, so nothing you type is collected. No identifier travels in the address bar, and nothing recorded here can be traced back to you as a person.
Why I record it. I am one person deciding what to build next and what to fix. Knowing that people read the pilot section and then leave without reaching the sketch button tells me the page is wrong, which is something I cannot learn any other way.
How long it is kept. Raw lines live in the server log for a few days, and in my own copy of that log for at most twelve months, after which they are deleted. What survives is counts: visits per day, per page, per country.
How to avoid it. Turning JavaScript off stops the click part completely and the page still works normally. The page-view line is written by the server before the page is sent, so the only way to avoid that one is not to open the page. If you would still rather not appear in the log at all, one line to jami@jokinenai.fi and I will delete the entries for the day you name and leave you out from then on.
Email and client data. If you write to me, your email is used only to answer you and prepare the work you asked for. Client data access and security are agreed separately in writing for each engagement.
